Our journey began with a simple dream: to create an education setup that helps students find academic success while still enjoying their childhood. At Matt’s Education, our team believe that learning should be empowering and joyful, not a burden. Since our founding, we’ve been committed to building a warm, supportive environment where each student is seen and encouraged. Year by year, we’ve grown our team, refined our curriculum, and introduced new programmes, always with the goal of unlocking students’ potential and nurturing a love of learning. Whether through English, Mathematics or Science, we apply proven teaching strategies and personalised attention — so students develop strong fundamentals, confidence in their abilities, and the joy of discovery. Here is our story, year by year.
Our journey began when our co-founders, Matthew and Marian, attempted to realise their dream of an education setup that allows students to pursue academic success while enjoying their childhood. We started with small group classes at home, specialising in English and Mathematics.
Blessed with an outpouring of support, we moved into our first centre. As our journey continued, it became clear that what was closest to our hearts was helping students, especially those low in confidence, find their footing again. Gradually, we developed a reputation for helping underperforming students punch above their weight.
Faced with increasing demand for our classes, we moved to our current premises at Jurong West Sports Centre. We recreated the feeling of learning in a comfortable home environment, keeping our classrooms bright, vibrant, and well-equipped with learning devices.
After over a year of deliberation and development, we added Science classes to our curriculum. This was a very welcome change across the upper primary and secondary levels.
Encouraged by the support from parents and students, we expanded our centre with a brand-new classroom. We had some of our biggest batches for the PSLE, ‘N’ and ‘O’ Levels this year, and several of our students went on to top their respective cohorts.
Opened our second outlet at Clementi, marking an exciting new chapter of growth and expanding our reach to more students in the West.
Launched 600min with ME, a new online series of short, focused revision modules designed to help students strengthen key concepts efficiently.
